How it works

Read it, write it, see the trick

  1. Open your lettersLetters, emails, texts and calls arrive. Some are real, some are scams. Trust, ignore or check.
  2. Write your ownSend real letters or build a scam from ready-made pieces. Nobody can type a free message.
  3. See what gave it awayAfter every answer the game shows the tell, so you know it next time, in real life too.
Nothing in it is real

Safe to get fooled

  • Every bank, shop, courier and person is made up, like Acorn Bank and Bee Post.
  • Every web address ends in .test, which can never be a real website, and every phone number is fictional.
  • Links in the game never open. Tapping one only shows where it would go.
  • Coins have no money value. They can't be bought, sold or cashed out.
  • The tricks are ones already in public warnings from banks and police. The game doesn't invent new scams.
For parents

What your child can and can't do

  • Players are 13 and over.
  • Sign-up is a username and password only. No email, real name or contacts.
  • There is no chat. Messages are built from fixed pieces, so nobody can send words, links, pictures or contact details.
  • Usernames are filtered, and every player card has a Report button.
  • Ads come from Google and are not personalised. They sit in grey boxes marked "Advertisement", never inside the game.
  • The game takes no payments.
  • Scams in the game can cost coins and items, sometimes a lot. That is the point: it's safe to lose here.
